The first 25 registrants will receive a pre-registration package consisting of:
Carp Angling 101 DVD by The American Carp Society
PLUS tackle and knot tying guide ($30.00 value)

Fishing will be in two age groups
10-14
15-18

*Prize awards are based on the weight of the 4 heaviest carp landed. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the one angler that lands 4 carp with the highest combined weight over 100 lbs.

Terry Fishlock, "Mr. Carp", returns as marshall of the tournament
Terry Fishlock has carp fished for 30 years in over 20 countries. He has caught many over 30 lbs and is hoping to catch one of the huge carp that inhabit the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence river. Terry moved to the USA in 2000 and is settled just south of the St Lawrence having found a mini farm among the local Amish community. Terry is married to Christina, a hospital IT specialist who originates from Black River NY. They share their farm with a black Labrador called Nissie.

Fishing School
Friday, July 25th, 5-6 pm, Perinton Park
Presented by Ed Sheffield, owner of Ed's Bait and Tackle Information will include the finer points of carp fishing, including, but not limited to:

• How to tie special knots
• Selecting bait
• Advice on the "cast"

Ed's Bait and Tackle will be donating a Carp Rod and Reel package valued at over $150.00 as a prize, as well as some smaller prizes such as baits, t-shirts, and hats.

Ed's Bait and Tackle will be the PCC Carp Fest Official Bait and Tackle provider. Ed will be coming down to the event to help with the carp school, marshalling, and weighing fish, etc. Here are more details...

Rental Package: $15.00 for the seminar and tournament. Package includes:
  1) 9ft Shakespeare Ugly Stik w/Okuma Corrida Bait Runner Reel spooled with 30# braided line.
  2) 1 pack of three (3) hair rigs (hook rig) using Gamakatsu hooks and Spro 80# swivel.
  3) 1 safety-bolt rig (sinker release) and one baiting needle. The retail value of this package would be $126.48.
Contestants could rent it for $15.00 and if they wanted to buy it after the tournament we would make it available and deduct the rental fee off the retail price. Twenty (20) of these packages will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

We would also be able to assist those contestants that will be using their own tackle by selling the following:
  1) Hooks, swivels, safety-bolt rigs, sinkers, and line.
  2) Boilies, maize, dips, attractants, dough baits, and pellets.
  3) 12' carp rods, reels, bank sticks, bite alarms, and nets.
